To make way for comfort, granting people more space and expanding the place for relaxation. These are the objectives achieved in a project by Rodolfo Dordoni for the Molo XL Collection by Kettal.
Outdoor spaces become environments, creating areas of interaction. The volumes are intentionally oversized, also because as the name suggests (Molo means dock in Italian) this sofa becomes “a restful break between journeys, and a safe haven from stormy seas.”

The design is rational, its geometry orthogonal, focusing not on the decorative features but on the combination of fabrics, colors and details, carefully selected, with the possibility of choosing bordered workmanship for the seat and back. Legs in teak, a new aluminium base, and Terrain outdoor fabrics, with a softness similar to that of coverings for indoor use. The collection is composed of sofas for two or three persons, and single or double chaises longues.
