Ghidini1961: metal stands out

Who says metal isn’t a living material? Forged and shaped by Ghidini1961, it conveys all of its personality in the new collection developed by a creative team, under the art direction of Stefano Giovannoni

A unique language is the earmark of the new collection by Ghidini1961. The art of bringing life to metal through expert craftsmanship, creating contemporary curves, and the creative verve of a team coordinated by Stefano Giovannoni, involving the collaboration of Lorenza Bozzoli, together with new ideas by Elisa Giovannoni and Branch Creative.

“Our philosophy is not to create richness as an end in itself – says Giovannoni – but to make a design object of exceptionally high quality. For us, it is fundamental that there be a concept behind every product, a very strong idea expressed by the metal and the excellence of Ghidini1961, which is capable of working with this material like no one else.”

Now the metal alloy, in the new burnished and brushed finishes, is combined with wood, marble, leather, velvet, enhancing forms and geometric lines in furnishings and lighting. The results include the Tarantino and Abbracci (sofa, armchair, ottoman) upholstered furniture lines, both by Lorenza Bozzoli: soft and welcoming, in an unusual ribbed velvet, with feet in shiny or burnished brass, for the first, or wrapped in soft nubuck leather with brass tubing, in the second.
Bold, on the other hand, is a family designed by Elisa Giovannoni that includes a dining and coffee tables, living and dining cabinets, featuring a large cylindrical leg combined with a structural ribbon that borders the objects, generating a sculptural effect, together with marble and leather.
The One On One table lamp by Branch Creative, on the other hand, ‘metalizes’ blown glass in the lower part, leaving the satin version in the upper zone, adding a sculptural character to the light source.
