Rimadesio: our 2021 will be...

The company previews new developments for the coming year: an updated range of materials, the R-Academy in Giussano, and the second showroom in Switzerland

New developments for Rimadesio: starting in January 2021, the range of materials of the brand will be updated, from 185 to 259 finishes, of which 151 in glass, like the new Sahara backpainted variant with a velvety touch, the diamond glass, shiny but fingerprint-proof thanks to the textured relief of the backpainted surface, and the layered glass fibers featuring a perpendicular weave of metal threads for a 3D effect.
The Ecolorsystem of lacquers has also been expanded with ecological water-based coatings, in 13 new pastel hues including powder, silky tray, Arctic gray, ash blue, pepper, sandalwood and lichen green. Furthermore: the scratched metals in the copper, lead, bronze and platinum versions, obtained through a cycle of coating and scratching of the aluminium by hand. Precious material finishes for interiors and projects always made to measure, which besides glass and aluminium – protagonists in Rimadesio’s offerings – also include the presence of fabrics, eco-leathers, cowhide, wood, melamine, marble and Litech.

The updated range is narrated by the new R-Academy, an area of the corporate headquarters in Giussano created to welcome clients, architects, journalists and the Rimadesio network. The space is organized with three zones: the first is for the technical-design presentation of the Rimadesio systems, offering a detailed overview of the particular features of Modulor, Cover, Spazio, and the technology that sets the door system apart; at the center, a freestanding display case contains the technical cross-sections of 44 products in the collection, and the 259 finishes; finally, the third zone is for technical, design and sales training of Rimadesio professionals.
