Flexform: balance is the way

An icon of understated elegance around the world, Flexform confirms its style in the new 2020 Collection and the refurbishing of the Milan showroom. Ready to convince the audience of Milano Design City

Faithful to its character and to those who appreciate excellence, continuing to renew its approach over time. This is the path taken by Flexform, an ambassador of Made in Italy based on balance and talent.

Showroom Flexform - Corso Monforte 28, Milano

As can be seen in the showroom at Corso Monforte 28 in Milan, completely updated, intimate and refined, to communicate a sense of timeless elegance in products made by the company. Take the new collection for 2020, a perfect balance of classic and contemporary tastes, on view in the new space during Milano Design City, from 28 September to 10 October.

Organized across most of the available space, the 2020 Collection expresses high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional comfort, reflecting the lifestyle formulated by the brand. First of all, there are the pieces by Antonio Citterio, deus ex machina of the company for 40 years and an outstanding interpreter of its corporate values. Standouts include the Asolo seating system, with ample proportions and sartorial detailing of covers in fabric and leather; the Gregory sofa, impeccable in its proportions and full of refined constructive features, like the visible parts of the elastic belts on which to place the seat cushions, aligned with a rigorous metal base.

Then comes the Tessa armchair, complex to produce but simple in its final visual effect: the interlocking structure, entirely in solid ash wood or turned Canaletto walnut, together with the weave of the river straw used for the seat and back, require remarkable skill. Strikingly combined with the new creations, there are a number of bestsellers like the Groundpiece sofa, the Happy chaise longue, the Campiello sofa, the A.B.C., Guscio and Thomas chairs. A rightful tribute to pieces that have marked important chapters in the company’s growth.

The internal courtyard of the showroom opens with an enchanting outdoor zone furnished with the Atlante seating system, made in waterproof material and offering great compositional freedom; the Hora Sexta cot on wheels, in iroko wood and woven polypropylene fiber; the Ontario sofa, wrapped by a structure of slats, also in iroko, and equipped with a roll cushion.
