Kickoff of 3 Days of Design

From 3 to 5 September in Copenhagen, three days of design with events in showrooms and online. On hand, among others: Artemide, B&B Italia, Flos and many other Italian companies

One of the most important design events in Denmark and all of Scandinavia: we’re talking about 3 Days of Design, from 3 to 5 September, in Copenhagen. From Thursday to Saturday, visitors can discover the new trends and developments in décor, interior design, lighting and lifestyle, of Northern Europe and elsewhere.

Lots of leading names in Scandinavian design are taking part, such as Muuto, Georg Jensen, Kvadrat, alongside international brands. Made in Italy is well represented, with B&B Italia presenting the reissue of the Camaleonda sofa and the modules of Scacchi, both designed by Mario Bellini in the 1970s, and Flos which is presenting Coordinates, the striking collection initially created by Michael Anastassiades for the Four Seasons restaurant in New York, with a series of interlocking LED strips that take their formal cue from the mathematical precision of a Cartesian grid, in a modular composition that expands in three brilliant dimensions.

The calendar is full of events (with easy reference here): workshops, talks, encounters, aperitifs, parties, openings, tours, exhibitions, throughout the city and in the main showrooms of the various brands. Due to the pandemic, this year the initiatives are organized both on site and online, to reach an audience all over the world. For example, Carl Hansen & Søn invites visitors on 3 September, at 11.00, to the store at Bredgade 21-23, to learn about the new creations of the Danish designers Børge Mogensen, Hans J. Wegner, Nanna Ditzel and Rikke Frost, but for those who cannot be there, the brand has organized a virtual event, also on 3 September, from 14.00 to 16.00, for an appearance by Rikke Frost on her new sofa.
There is also a dual appointment – exhibition in the showroom in Copenhagen and on digital media – for Kvadrat, presenting Knit! by Kvadrat, a series of creations by 28 designers, from the Italian studio Zaven to the French talent Julie Richoz, to explore the potential of Kvadrat Febrik fabrics.

Finally, in the virtual room, you can witness the official talks of the event, or watch the videos of the exhibitors, and podcasts.
