Poliform unveils the Art of the Kitchen

Art of the Kitchen is the new narrative photography project by Poliform: an immersive voyage in the art of the kitchen, its spaces and secrets, but above all through the actions that set the pace of everyday life

Cooking is an art, but so is ‘living the kitchen.’ In its spaces, its functions and potential, in the emotions it generates. Poliform has immortalized everyday actions that define this space and the things inside it in Art of the Kitchen, the new project of photography and storytelling: Poliform kitchens are the protagonists, revealing their often hidden details, their multiple functions that accompany ‘doing’ in the kitchen. But the know-how of those who have designed these microcosms also emerges, in a relationship of culture and experience, technology and innovation.

Presented at the outset of the latest Kitchen Catalogue, the series has now become an independent publication, as well as the source for the narration of Poliform kitchens on Instagram, where the images will be posted starting on Monday 25 May. Black and white shots (of timeless elegance) form the backdrop of this ‘handbook’ of the kitchen, in all its expressive shadings. To organize, to conserve, to prepare, to cook, to eat… every term has its product.

The act of cooking passes through fire and its technological evolutions; ‘to wash, to rinse, to scald’ require variety in terms of sinks and worktops; perfect conservation calls for the right temperature conditions or special solutions like the wine cellar, for better ‘tasting’ of all sensorial nuances. The kitchen means perfect organization, expressed in the harmonious interaction of the parts, and in the variety of utensils available, to improve the overall experience; but the kitchen is also beauty, made possible by optimization, enhancement, the presence of everything required for preparation and serving. Above all, the kitchen is the sensorial space par excellence, not just for eating but also for savoring aromas, colors, tactile suggestions, aural sensations, all the way to a higher level of appreciation of time spent together, sharing and enjoying.
