The two sides of Paolo Castelli, in new creations for 2020

Paolo Castelli presents Inspiration and GREENKISS, two new 2020 catalogues that respectively narrate the refined allure and the contemporary green approach of the brand

Two collections, two sides, two catalogues. Paolo Castelli presents two exclusive decor concepts, in different proposals, bearing witness to the brand’s dual attitude, of refined elegance parallel to design innovaton for ‘green’ results.

The Inspiration and GREENKISS catalogues present the new developments for 2020, sharing not only the signature of Paolo Castelli, but also the desire to create complete, recognizable lifestyles, mixing materials, finishes and colors, harmoniously combined to offer experiences of domestic life with an equally refined and international character.

“It’s time to shine” is the payoff that accompanies the Inspiration collection: immersed in a sophisticated architectural setting that brings out its distinctive traits, the compositions for the living, dining and bedroom zones create an evocative itinerary destined to become a source of inspiration and ideas, driven by exceptional finishes and delicate nuances. Essential elegance is the red thread that connects the rooms, drawing on the eclectic tastes of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. An outstanding example of this expressive impact is the Alba table: a mixture of natural materials (Vicenza stone) and industrial materials (bronze in the matte shadow finish), blended in a product with basic geometric forms; the circular bas-relief decoration of the top underscores the craftsmanship that brings the piece to life.

On the other hand, the GREENKISS collection is a tribute to nature and to the future, which matches the creativity of Paolo Castelli with the style of Tierry Lemaire and Hubert de Malherbe. This encounter of kindred spirits has led to 30 eco-responsible products, “that express not only the importance of the functional and aesthetic aspects of furnishings, but also the value and charm of ethical design that becomes the motor of a renewed positive sense of empathy regarding the environment as a resource” Paolo Castelli explains. Hence the use of regenerated or salvaged materials, or others sourced through an ethical, controlled supply chain, for the production of tables, armchairs, seating and lamps, all inspired by the Italian and French design of the 1950s and 1970s.
The emblem of the GREENKISS collection is the Vao chair: rounded, organic forms (covered in wool bouclé) are supported by legs in eco-sustainable solid ash wood, whose imperfections become the characteristic feature.
