Do you have a startup or a business? Wager on the future

To create a design innovation network in the time of the Coronavirus: the DesignTech Hub of MIND launches a positive signal of reaction to the present crisis from Milan

To think about the future of design through technological innovation, reviving the economy in a moment of paralysis in Italy and around the world. It can be – it must be – done. The continuation of the health emergency demands that we redesign our lifestyle, along with the spaces in which we live and work. The initiative starts in Milan with the DesignTech project, the first hub to take form in the MIND Milano Innovation District, now in the activation phase in the former Expo area, by the developer Lendlease.

A big Living Lab equipped with co-working, co-living and co-factory spaces will lay the groundwork for the development of rapid prototyping of new products, encouraging the implementation of programs of open innovation, to stimulate the spread of digital technologies in the furniture sector, but also to create a sustainable ecosystem to allow a new community to emerge, representing an optimal model for urban regeneration.

Applications can be made by all startups and companies that want to stand out for innovation. The selection will be made by Hi-Interiors, the Italian scaleup that has developed the concept of DesignTech, and recently launched the second edition of the program HiHack with an initial call. Call4Solutions, in fact, will have the aim of scouting for furnishing solutions in the coworking spaces of the DesignTech Hub, which is slated to open in October 2020. In the first phase the hub will be located inside the MIND Village, inside the Intesa Sanpaolo Pavilion designed by Michele De Lucchi. The whole project is supported by partners like Lendlease, an international real estate firm, and PwC, which provides the Open Innovation Brightidea platform for digital management of all the early phases of the call.

You can take part in the call of HiHack at the site hack.hi-interiors.com.
