Porada way of life

In the center of Sandton, South Africa, a residential project finds inspiration in light and in the material decor of Porada

A contemporary urban space that avoids chilly minimalism in favor of a modernity that focuses on details and match-ups of materials. This is what Mêha Art & Interiors has provided for the owners of a penthouse atop the impressive Embassy Towers apartment complex, in the center of Sandton.

The interior design relies on emphatic use of the luminosity of its large windows and the high ceiling in the living area, envisioning domestic dynamics embodied by the exclusive design and fine craftsmanship of furnishings by Porada, in a perfect balance of forms and volumes of collections made to last in time, far from passing fashions, conveying a sense of elegant, understated taste. Obviously without overlooking the cutting-edge technology and practicality that make for comfortable living.

Sliding glass doors with a height of nearly 7 meters are placed at the perimeter of the double volume of the living area, offering breathtaking views of the skyline of Sandton.

The soft, warm atmosphere is enhanced by the extensive use of wood in the wall facings of the space and in the high-end furnishings by Porada, with their sophisticated lines and different tones, combined with fabrics and marble. From the Quadrifoglio table to the round Trittico tables, the Argo modular sofa to the Vera armchairs with structure in canaletta walnut and cowhide backs.

The bedrooms feature similar motifs and patterns, though differentiated in terms of design and color: forceful masculine brown, and restrained but intense feminine orange. These rooms have been furnished with the Killian and Ziggy beds. The first has a headboard with a frame in solid canaletta walnut, while the second is totally upholstered, with an enveloping form.
