Smart Working: #stayathome

A necessity, but also a lifestyle. The measures taken to combat the Coronavirus lead to reorganization of domestic spaces, altering our ways of interacting with the home. Virtually outside, physically inside, thanks to flexible, smart furnishings

Security, flexibility, social interaction. These are the key points of everyday life suddenly focused on the home due to the (worldwide) measures taken to combat the spread of Covid-19. A new modus vivendi made possible by the opportunities of the digital world, permitting us to continue working while reinterpreting our concepts of space and its functions. Regardless of the square meters you have available, organizing personalized workstations is simple thanks to versatile, detailed or essential solutions using hybrid furnishings. Halfway between public and private, such spaces are highly efficient but informal, with an eye on aesthetics and ergonomics. Complex but always reassuring personalities that mix intimacy with productivity.

The era of remote work knows no boundaries when you sit down at the desk that completes the Home Hotel collection from Poliform, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud. This is a versatile piece for various rooms in the home, thanks to its essential design, together with the central rotating Turner bookcase created by Gianfranco Frattini for Poltrona Frau, to shape spaces depending on needs.

The Dafto desk by Porada, design S. Tollgard, and Biblio by Calligaris (combined with the Basil seat) with regenerated leather panels have a strong sartorial imprint thanks to the use of leather for the top.
For those without problems of space, Tenet becomes a complete workstation perfectly organized in spaces by Massimo Scolari for Giorgetti, along with the very ergonomic Springer chair.

Manerba also concentrates on tactile and visual pleasure typical of domestic settings with the freestanding REVO table, ranging from a wooden finish to glossy or satin back-painted glass, or leather. In line with the visual language of Arper, the company has added four new Fenix laminates in the colors black, white, Bromo gray and Colorado pink for the linear Nuur table designed by Simon Pengelly.

Always technical and rigorous, with a focus on maximum efficiency, the Tecno brand offers the iconic T90 desk designed by Osvaldo Borsani in 1954, reissued in 2012: a shaped and curved top in canaletto walnut, with a light support structure in steel tubing, adjustable feet and drawers.
Next comes Alias with the system of versatile tables (in terms of form, size and use) of the Biplane High Collection by Alberto Meda: the number of legs varies depending on the size of the top, giving rise to a differentiated series of models.

Pedrali, Boxie family

To help with storage: Boxie, a container system on wheels designed by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci for Pedrali takes on different configurations based on the combination of its parts, large drawers and tops in polypropylene inside a steel structure; and PlannerTM shelving, inspired by the Bauhaus, designed in the 1950s by Paul McCobb and produced by Fritz Hansen in coated steel. A universe of accessories also gravitate around our ‘professional territories.’

Technogym, Wellness Ball Active Sitting

Finally, how can we be more active while sitting down to work? Wellness Ball Active Sitting, an idea patented by Technogym, helps you to keep the right posture, contributing to prevention of back problems during long hours of remote working.
