A strategic and ethical choice made by many companies in North America, a market of fundamental importance for the group based in Fiorano Modenese, specialized in the production of porcelain stoneware tiles.
The efforts concentrate on electricity, which though it is a form of clean energy produces negative impact on the environment when it is generated, transmitted and consumed. For this reason, Terratinta Group wants to achieve BECORP certification, which maps companies on a worldwide level that apply ecosustainable policies, and to obtain insertion in the selective OnGreening platform. The firm’s transports will be replaced with exclusively electric or hybrid vehicles, with recharging stations placed across the corporate area.

Terratinta has also fully embraced Plastic Free operation, through the introduction of water purifiers, personal stainless steel bottles for employees, the replacement of traditional plastic pods and containers with compostable capsules, along with stirring sticks and cups made of totally compostable materials. The last action of this radical “green” transformation is the Paper Decrease, i.e. digital filing of all documents for in-house use.
