MDF Italia, the concert of Ramon Esteve

The Spanish designer creates the Arpa outdoor collection, composed of sofas, armchairs and tables

“I think the collection conveys the values of the brand. When I began to design Arpa I clearly understood that the challenge was to create an elegant collection, but one that was also simple, with a strong personality. This is the image I have of the MDF Italia collection.”

This is how Ramon Esteve presents his new collection for MDF Italia. The Spanish architect and designer has decided to take his inspiration from the elegance of interior design, in the making of Arpa: sofas, armchairs and tables for outdoor settings.

The series stands out for the refinement of its clean lines, reflecting the design to bring the living area into the great outdoors. The characteristic feature is the craftsmanship of the woven cord of the seats, as indicated by the name of the collection (arpa means harp). Arpa combines the stability of an external orthogonal structure with the comfort and softness of inner cushions.

The support structure is made in stainless steel, creating an interesting contrast with the handwoven cord of the back. The collection comes in four colors with embossed coating: matte white, matte Cor-ten, black iron and matte pewter.

The table reprises the structure of the sofa and the armchair. The top is in fine laminated porcelain stoneware, available in various versions, including matte finishes in light gray, black lime, hammered medium gray Savoia stone, and a natural Cor-ten satin finish.
