Potocco: 25% growth

The company finished the year of its centenary with a leap in revenues from 11 million in 2018 to over 13 milion euros in 2019. Exports are the true protagonists

As a true excellence of Made in Italy, Potocco closed 2019, the year of its 100th anniversary, with a double-digit growth (+ 25% compared to 2018) bringing incomes from the 11 million of 2018 to over 13 million euros in 2019. Projections for 2020 are also positive thanks to a consolidated product portfolio.

The recorded results confirm the importance of exports, with an incidence of over 90% on the turnover, which has allowed the company to conquer a large space on the international market. In Europe and the USA, the company is an important partner in the field of large contract furniture.
The retail segment, which instead sees a predominant presence in the Asian market, has grown thanks to the opening of new corners including one in Shanghai as well as one in Nanjing. A new corner is expected to be opened in Tokyo by the first quarter of 2020. These corners are located at important distributors, who are the advocates of the company’s philosophy, and with whom Potocco shares the culture of design and projects, on a daily basis. With the aim of strengthening its presence in the area thanks to a direct relationship with customers, the company also operates through its two divisions, Potocco Asia and Potocco USA.

Family-run company, Potocco is now led by Antonino Potocco, assisted in his role by his daughters Alice and Marianna, who represent the ongoing generational change (fifth generation of the family) contributing with new points of view but constantly pursuing corporate values.

The company’s growth was supported by major investments in the workforce, with particular attention to the new generations, and several new hires in the two-year period 2018-2019. Potocco, which now employs 70 employees, has always invested in its human and relational capital, rating them as essential assets of the company’s growth process, and considering them as a fundamental element that guarantees quality and control over the entire production chain.
The people are also depositories of the culture of know-how, of the materials, of the project, of an essential heritage made of craftsmanship and tradition carried out in Potocco by employees who have worked for over 25 years in the company, some of them even to the second generation.

Attached to tradition, but also strongly oriented towards innovation, Potocco guarantees the highest quality standards thanks to the most advanced technologies. Potocco has invested in the modernization of the plant with the introduction of new advanced machinery interconnected to the factory system with an industry 4.0 processing cycle which, together with new CNC machines, allowed to support the increase in production.
The production modernization program will also continue in the years 2020 and 2021.
The strong attention to technological evolution doesn’t, in any way, ignore the attention to details, that only manual processes guarantee.

After a century of history, the company still carries out all the production phases internally, in Manzano’s Headquarter, starting with the processing of solid wood, moving on to painting, padding and finally packaging, personalizing each proposal and customizing it, based on specific requests.
