Organized by Messe Frankfurt, from 27 September to 2 October 2020 Light + Building returns to Frankfurt, as the world’s largest trade fair for lighting and intelligent buildings. This edition is subdivided into the sections Connecting, Pioneering and Fascinating, with the main theme of Dynamic Digitalization as the red thread running through the various areas. The exhibitors, speakers and initiatives explore a range of issues regarding design and functionality, outlining new trends in the lighting sector. Among them, Functional Aesthetics illustrates a megatrend that deliberately eschews ornament to concentrate on lighting requirements in different situations; Classic Authenticity creates relations between different eras; Historical Progress forges a connection between past and future with contemporary citations of archetypal design of the past.
