Paris Déco Off + Paris Déco Home

The design itinerary in Paris doubles to include furnishings, lighting and complements

In the year of the 11th iteration of Paris Déco Off, Carole Locatelli and Hughes Charuit announce new developments. “Paris Déco Off is all grown up. Today, it deserves a joint, simultaneous event that not only provides a complementary decorative offer, but also a sense of continuity and even synergy. This was our goal in creating Paris Déco Home. This year, furniture, lighting, tableware and decorative objects taking pride of place at Paris Déco Home will join wall coverings, wallpapers and trimmings, on display from the designers of Paris Déco Off for the past ten years.”

From 16 to 20 January, on the Rive Gauche and Rive Droite, at St Germain de Près, Rue du Mail and Place de Petits-Pères, visitors can see permanent or temporary showrooms of 117 international producers of fabrics, textile coverings and wallpapers, and 30 creators of furnishings, lamps and complements. An appointment-event for the city, in various arrondissements (2nd, 6th, 7th and 8th), for an audience of professionals who gather in Paris, also for a visit to Maison&Objet. The tour of the city, design and market sheds light on excellence in production and the very high level of creative invention, inspired this year by themes like lightness, color, nature and ecosustainability. The city squares become nerve centers for many installations. Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Place des Petits-Pères, Place Furstemberg will be ‘furnished’ with ‘surdimmensionées’ seating featuring special coverings, like the armchairs of Jean-Michel Frank and Adolphe Chanaux for Ecart International, and the canapé by Bérengère Leroy in the XXL version, while fabrics and wallpapers by various editors clad the ‘Alpine’ cabins placed along the way as stopping points. The translucent ‘bulle’ by designer-urbanist Olivier SaguezSaguez & Partners, on Place Saint-Germain des Prés, hosts a hybrid space, between office and home. The whole itinerary, as usual, features over 150 extra-large chandeliers made with linen covering by Master of Linen.
