Iris Ceramica Group wagers on sustainability

Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group is a non-profit association to promote environmental protection, as well as social development and inclusion

“Sustainability is a fundamental part of our corporate strategy and culture; it defines not only how we do things, but also who we are.”

With these words, Federica Minozzi, CEO of Iris Ceramica Group, announces the birth of the Foundation. The holding company specialized in technical ceramic facings presented the new non-profit organization that will focus on raising awareness among companies and individuals on themes of environmental and social sustainability, through the promotion of more ethical behavior and concrete support for initiatives and projects aimed at the construction of new models of aggregation and wellbeing for the community.

“It is also an indispensable requirement to safeguard the planet and the community – Federica Minozzi continues, at the Accademia Militare in Modena. – The birth of Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group publicly confirms our commitment to the construction of a sustainable, secure and inclusive future, and our first Sustainability Report is a tangible sign of this effort, a transparent and voluntary document but also an investment to create lasting value for all our stakeholders.”

For the launch of the project, Iris Ceramica Group has released its first Sustainability Report bearing witness to how the activities of the Foundation make an effective contribution to achieve the 17 objectives for sustainable growth indicated by the UN 2030 Agenda.

This is not the only initiative of this kind in which the company takes part. Collaborations have also been launched with organizations like Save the Children, Action Aid and The Nature Conservancy, alongside the Zero Emissions commitment of the production plants that make the Group’s large ceramic slabs.
