The project was launched at an evening event in the historic arts center of Bombas Gens, headquarters of the foundation Per Amor al´Art in Valencia. Michelle Poon, marketing director of Vondom, says: “We would like to offer more than just design furnishings. We aim to create pieces from plastic that is 100% recycled from the sea. We want to be true pioneers in this field.” Among the products on view, those created by the designers Eugeni Quitllet and Jorge Pensi (like the Delta chair) stand out, made from plastic recovered from the waters of the Balearic Islands.

Quitllet, who was born and grew up on the marvelous island of Ibiza, explains: “All my ideas come from light and the sea, just like life.” For Vondom, the designer has created the new outdoor furnishings Ibiza, Brooklyn, Africa and Pedrera, getting inspiration from his childhood to make items that stand up to time, with the dream of creating a better world.

At the same time, the company presented the new headquarters at Beneixida, about 40 minutes away from Valencia. The facility has an area of 64,000 square meters and contains three showrooms. For the debut of the structure, Eugeni Quitllet and Ramón Esteve were also in attendance.
