Eterno, Solid Gold, Olympus

At Cersaie 2019, Versace Ceramics presents the collections of ceramic facings created together with long-term partner Gardenia Orchidea

Over the years Versace Home, the natural and essential extension of the fashion maison in the various ambits of interior design, has become a very recognizable, composite and versatile universe, including furnishings, fabrics, porcelain and tableware, bath accessories and facings for vertical and horizontal surfaces, such as wallpaper and ceramic tiles. The Versace Ceramics collections, thanks to the vision of Gianni Versace and the solid partnership with Gardenia Orchidea, have been an indispensable part of the Versace lifestyle since 1997, standing out for their soft, enveloping forms, excellent raw materials, advanced production technologies, refined color combinations and classic decorative motifs, from the Medusa head to the fretwork borders.

Ceramics Collection 2019

At Cersaie 2019 – the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings – Versace Ceramics presents three different collections that keep faith with the brand’s DNA, offering a refined reinterpretation of the mix of courtly culture and pop overtones that has always been a staple of the creativity and philosophy of Versace. The Eterno collection, in fine batch-colored porcelain stoneware, has a wood effect with a soft, delicate touch. It evokes the ancient Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, a procedure that involves the burning of the surface layer of wood to make it more durable and lustrous. The tiles, in the formats 80×80 cm and 26.5×160 cm, are available in the colors Carbon, Brown, White and Ice, and the textures Barocco, Patchwork, Intreccio. They can be combined in personalized configurations, with the Medusa head and golden fretwork bands, pieces made with a patented engraving process.

Solid Gold is a collection in double-fired white clay, featuring rectangular tiles (20×60 cm) with a three-dimensional effect on the border, inspired by diamond cutting, off-scale monochrome ‘ingots’ (Cream, White, Black), mirror-finish pieces or others decorated with fretwork, with the Vintage Logo of the 1990s and gilded Baroque motifs, to alternate in variegated compositions on walls or floors. The same double-fired white material is used for the third collection, Olympus, composed of larger tiles (50×150 cm) combined with decorative strips featuring the classic golden fretwork. This motif becomes a hypnotic, raised pattern, repeated on glossy surfaces in the colors Black, Gray, White and Ivory.
