The fil rouge of Angelo Cappellini

Inlay work is the protagonist of the evolution of the brand: from the classic style of the Flora table to the oriental flair of the side tables, by way of the three-dimensional impact of Tessella

One of the finest qualities of Angelo Cappellini is to know how to make furnishings using different styles and materials, managing to keep the identity of the brand intact.
Three products that represent this spirit to perfection are the Flora and Tessella tables and the recent side tables made with inlay work, an ancient technique refined over the centuries by expert craftsmen, and an important factor in the history of the company.

Inlay work is a tribute to fine cabinet making and the virtues of special types of wood. In the classic version it is found in Flora, an impressively sized dining table with a top in Canaletto walnut decorated with precious floral inlays – hence the name of the product – created using maple. The legs have a white finish with patinated gold inserts, aptly combined with seats made with Vienna straw.

Contemporary style and three-dimensional impact are the traits of the Tessella table. A refined geometric pattern (also reprised in the sideboard of the same collection) is formed by triangular figures that bring out the grain of the wood.
Brass also plays a leading role: the base of the sideboard and the border around the tabletop are in this material, with a brushed finish.

Finally, the side tables represent a mixture of classic and modern style. The clearly Asian inspiration materializes in the larch wood top depicting a lush tropical landscape and a carp inlaid with brass profiles. The tables take on versatility and adapt to elegant, refined settings.
