Rimadesio continues to grow

The company led by Davide and Luigi Malberti closes the first four months with a 10% increase in turnover compared to the same period in 2018

Rimadesio, the Italian leading company specialized in high-tech furniture design, continues its unstoppable growth.
After having closed 2018 with record numbers (revenues exceeded 61.5 million euros and net profit increased by 52% compared to the previous year), the company led by Davide and Luigi Malberti ended the first quarter 2019 with 10% increase in turnover compared to the same period last year.

Another success achieved thanks to the continual growth of the domestic market, increased by 6% in the last four months and the extraordinary development of the international one, with exports increased by 14%. The excellent Q1 results represent a further strengthening of Rimadesio’s competitive position.

Innovation in production processes is a fundamental asset of Rimadesio development strategy. The company, by joining the 4.0 Factory project, continues in 2019 its investment plan – valued at more than 3 million euros – in new highly computerized systems connected to the corporate network. The renewal of the aluminum processing plants has been completed in April, which will be followed soon by the start-up of a second water-based painting line: a cutting-edge technology that uses just Ecolorsystem water soluble products, with a low environmental impact processing cycle.

The new 5-axis machining center for glass has been inaugurated in May. The second automatic warehouse for the storage and computerized management of furniture will begin operating in September, with a just-in-time packaging system (made of 100% recycled materials).

The new Rimadesio collection, presented as a world premiere at Salone del Mobile, includes a set of coordinated solutions ranging from domestic to contract sector, from commercial spaces to offices. It is the case of Spazio wall-partition system or Modulor wall-paneling program that can be declined into endless compositional possibilities (it will officially go into production from January 2020). The range of materials and finishes has also been enriched: in addition to glass and aluminum – distinctive elements of the Rimadesio offer – it is now available a new porcelain gres, the new Crystal Brown marble, the Sahara walnut wood with a wavy effect and an exclusive synthetic leather in four finishes (castoro, argilla, nube and rubens), made in Italy and animal component-free.

Rimadesio international distribution share has reached 62%. The growing result is supported by the increasingly strategic role of monobrand stores: exclusive shops that perfectly embody the technical and stylistic qualities of the company.
