Marazzi arrives in London with a big puzzle

During Clerkenwell Design Week the ceramics firm pays homage to the quattro volte curva tiles by Gio Ponti and Alberto Rosselli, in the installation It’s a Puzzle!

Marazzi is also on hand at Clerkenwell Design Week, the even organized from 21 to 23 May in the Clerkenwell district of London. The company presents It’s a Puzzle!, an original installation in the showroom on St. John Street curated by Irene Arescaldino. The new ceramic and stoneware collections of the company have been revised in the form of the ‘four times curved’ Triennale tile, designed in 1960 by Gio Ponti and Alberto Rosselli for Marazzi.

The result is a puzzle that covers and shapes space, an installation that gives rise to material compositions with different textures and tones, for example by combining the concrete effect of the Apparel and Sistem S families with the timeless elegance of Venetian terrazzo and marble, with Art and Allmarble Golden Cream.
This composition is joined by a large cubical volume similar to the famous puzzle of Rubik, made with the thin Eclettica tile, in a chromatic arrangement where all the colors of the collection stand out by contract, in the various ‘four times curved’ modules.
