De Padova opens in London

The brand Made in Italy arrives with the first English flagship store in Chelsea, in the heart of the shopping district

There is a new address not to be missed for design lovers in London: the first flagship store of De Padova in Chelsea, at 161 Draycott Ave, in the lively Brompton Cross shopping zone.  De Padova Chelsea is on the first floor of a modern four-story building redesigned by British architect David Chipperfield.

A contemporary living space that reproduces the image of a metropolitan penthouse, a location that promises to become a favorite destination for architects, interior designers and clients from all over the UK.

The setting is organized in 310 square meters, designed under the creative direction of the architect Piero Lissoni and the Boffi Group Design&Style division. White walls and large windows frame the complete range of offerings for the home, including the collections of De Padova designed by the great masters Vico Magistretti and Achille Castiglioni, as well as more recent creative contributions by Patricia Urquiola, Nendo, Michele De Lucchi and GamFratesi, along with the lines of the other three brands in the group, the Danish start-up MA/U Studio, Boffi and ADL, the latest acquisition, a Veneto-based company specializing in premium doors.

“London is not just a European capital, but also a world capital. After Milan, Paris and New York, the next De Padova opening could only be in this important city,” says designer and art director Piero Lissoni. “We have found an extraordinary space for De Padova in the heart of Chelsea. It is quite different from a traditional furniture store, an exceptional loft that enhances our complete range of interior design offerings,” says Roberto Gavazzi, CEO of Gruppo Boffi. “The proximity to the Boffi Chelsea facility allows us to provide the best design solutions for all of our clients, with products by De Padova, Boffi, MA/U Studio and ADL.”
