Story of pioneers

Mario Barzaghi’s insightful intuition marks the past and present of Effebiquattro, specialised in high-tech design doors. The same intuition that drives Giovanna and Simona Barzaghi, always supported by their father, the company’s founder, to continue to look toward the future with brand new eyes

More than 52,000 square metres of production area in the Seregno factory, which produces over 250,000 doors per year, exported to 30 countries worldwide, which appreciate the quality and performance of 500 models and 24 collections.

These are the numbers with which Mario Barzaghi and his daughters Giovanna and Simona look to the future of Effebiquattro, a company founded in the 1970s from the Cavaliere’s prediction that a finished product could be obtained, including the workmanship of the carpenter and the frame maker. Rapidly seizing the change in the market, Mario Barzaghi has never stopped accepting challenges and innovating.

So much to coin the term “Trendology”, whose combination of the words “trend” and “technology” expresses the courage of the revolution that creates lifestyles. “The philosophy of Effebiquattro speaks of the extraordinary applied to the everyday – declares Mario Barzaghi – this is what guides the creation of new projects and establishes guidelines for the study of the production processes. A value that highlights the sensitivity of the company.” Today the strategic pillars are quality, design, innovation, planning, internationality, sustainability.

The same that led to the consolidation of the Italian market – the company boasts the supply to the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, born of the close collaboration with Mario Botta and Stefano Boeri’s award-winning Bosco Verticale – and the expansion of foreign markets. From Russia, that was once the first reference market outside national borders, currently the ‘first markets’ are many others: one third of the turnover is in fact export, which sees an important penetration also in Eastern Europe, in the United States and in Arab countries.

Effebiquattro can proudly say that it has succeeded in exporting its Made in Italy with an international network. China also plays an important role in the development plan. “For years, China has been one of the reference markets – emphasises Giovanna Barzaghi, commercial director – where today we have gained trust and customer loyalty, reconfirming once again that we are pursuing the correct line of development. Effebiquattro is built on strong values that over the years have become the key to recognising the company internationally – continues Giovanna Barzaghi – Courage, first and foremost, research and innovation, the highest quality of materials and service, and the extreme attention to technology with a range of proposals that satisfies the most diverse needs in the medium-high range, both in terms of aesthetics and highest level technical content.

Ours is now an actual philosophy, “Trendology”, as we call it, which sets us apart and reaffirms our choices. An international philosophy with all-Italian DNA.”
