This is what Albino Celato, CEO of De Castelli, had say about the collaboration between his company, specialised in the creation of iron products in which design plays a leading role, blending artisan tradition and advanced technology, and Maserati, who decided to convey its values of Italian quality, innovation, and customisation through collaborations with artisan companies.
One of these companies is De Castelli, tasked with creating the flooring for Maserati’s stand at the 89th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, from 7 to 17 March. The floor was a surface made up of dèlabrè iron micro-modules from the Square30 system, which gradually transformed to become dèlabrè black sheet metal.
Iron, along with wood and stone, is one of the three natural and high quality materials that, since our origins, have been available to human ingenuity for the creation of useful tools and artefacts. De Castelli further animated the space by displaying the dashboards for the interior of the new Maserati Four-Door SQ4 Granlusso, produced specifically for the car manufacturer.
The dashboards are created by applying a unique manual hammering technique to the sheet metal, making it possible to customise it.
The partnership between the two brands doesn’t end here. It will continue on occasion of Milano Design Week, taking place from 9 to 14 April, with a specific display in the De Castelli showroom on Corso Monforte.
