Important success in Book Stores for IFDM China

A brilliant result was recorded in the first months of sale for the collection of IFDM Contract & Hospitality Book China with a focus on design and hospitality

Beijing, 22 February 2019 – The sales results for IFDM China, which made its debut on the market last September, are absolutely surprising: over 12,000 copies sold in the first four months since the launch.

“I am very satisfied with the debut of IFDM China – declares  the publisher Paolo Bleve – This figure gratifies us a great deal and confirms the strategy for the development of the publishing project, positioning us with pride and confidence in one of the main growth markets for all international brands that are interested in making synergy and consolidating partnerships with the local opportunities and professionals, demonstrating once again that they can be an authoritative and recognised referent on a worldwide scale in the business of contract and large supply.”

In the windows of 129 Design Book Stores, in museums and bookshops specialised in design, in 16 Library Shops present in the best universities, in the exclusive outlets of the airports of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Nanjing and on the e-commerce portals of Amazon China and Dangdang.com, Contract Book China has confirmed an expansion strategy at the international level.
The Books are also available in the lounges, common areas and suites of the leading 150 five-star hotels in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shenzen.

The collections of the Contract & Hospitality Book China Regional are aimed at a specialised target of professionals identified in the six districts of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Nanjing. Published every six months in Chinese, the Books give space for interior and architectural designs to be presented, thanks to the strong expertise of the publisher and the possibility of speaking about the designs in the correct language common to the operators on the Chinese market.

The publications are delivered to a selected list of over 11,000 architects and interior designers operating throughout the territory, as well as the most important developers who manage the most prestigious mansions and luxury residential projects in the territory.

Thanks to this specialisation, the Contract & Hospitality Book China has been invited as a premium partner at the Mipim Asia Summit which took place in Hong Kong last November.
The launch of the IFDM Contract Book China also was part of Design China Beijing last September and at the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai last November. The next edition – Spring Summer 2019 – will be published in March.

IFDM, founded in 2007 by Marble, the publishing house of the magazine, has chosen to invest in the Chinese market, creating a local operational base in Beijing, under the guidance of a well-known editorialist, Johannes Neubacher, who holds the office of Editor- in-Chief, in collaboration with the Italian editorial staff who maintains the control and management of the international publications.
The Chinese edition is added to the 8 annual editions of the international publication, a presence in over 35 trade fairs and events in 28 markets.
