Giorgetti celebrates in Copenaghen

The company celebrates 120 years with the inauguration of its new showroom in Copenhagen and the presentation of the Object to Project exhibit and associated book and documentary

Giorgetti invades and conquers Denmark. The brand, specialising in interior design, celebrates 120 years since its foundation with the inauguration of a new store in Copenaghen, located within the prestigious Interstudio design concept store, and the presentation of the Object to Project exhibit, book, and film. The company’s objective was to bring together the Italian culture of design and the stylistic inclinations of Scandinavian tradition through a special selection of its collections.

The new Giorgetti shop occupies 100 sqm and features products like the Adam sofa, the Fit table, and the Progetti Fashion armchair, developed in collaboration with the Agnona brand and upholstered in Katori sheepskin. Certain iconic pieces are present as well, like the Hug armchair, the Drive sofa, and the Round table. The store’s sophisticated atmosphere is characterised by several decorative elements, including the Bond rings, the Rift mirror, and the Kendama chandelier, a modern reinterpretation of blown Murano glass.

Giorgetti takes advantage of the new opening to get architects and local clients involved in the festivities celebrating the company’s 120th anniversary. The exhibit, entitled “Object to Project. Giorgetti Design Since 1898”, is a narrative through photographs that retrace the brand’s history and milestones and explains the philosophy that led to the creation of some of its most representative products.

But that’s not all. Giorgetti’s artistic streak also touches the fields of film and literature. The exhibition includes the screening of a documentary directed by Francesca Molteni which tells the story of the historic Brianza district, a symbol of “Know-how”, and the presentation of the associated book.
