March, in the name of décor

From 9 to 12 March, IFFS will make its debut at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Almost 400 exhibitors will be participating and the theme of the 2019 edition is “UrbanAsia - The Future of Urban Living”

March in Singapore will be chock full of events related to living design. Coinciding with the 36th edition of ASEAN Furniture Show and NOOK Asia, dedicated to international artisan craftsmanship, IFFS 2019 will make its debut at the Sands Expo and Convention Center from 9 to 12 March. The theme of the show is UrbanAsia – The Future of Urban Living, which asks exhibiting companies to present living spaces furnished with minimalist and, at the same time, sophisticated décor, multifunctional appliances, and automation systems.

Arranged on two levels and in six separate pavilions, the International Furniture Fair Singapore 2019 will boast a selection of almost 400 international exhibitors from over 30 countries. The organisers’ objective is to create a multi-sensory show experience that introduces technology, celebrates design, and facilitates connections.
The exhibition also takes a special look at some geographic areas as they relate to the theme of “urban living”: the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore. Each section will be conceived and furnished by important interior designers and by brands that focus on innovation and design, with the goal of reflecting the uniqueness of the countries that they represent.

Ernie Koh, Presidente di IFFS

Ernie Koh, President of IFFS, describes the changes that Singapore has experienced of late: “Today’s consumers are looking for much more than just a unique piece. An increase in wellness and in disposable income, together with a growing tendency to travel, fuel a desire for ever more sophisticated and versatile living solutions that reflect various lifestyles.”

The metropolis, classified as a Creative City by UNESCO, plays a fundamental role in the Chinese market: “Singapore is at the centre of commercial trade between China and North America, making it more important than ever to lend a voice and give space to Asian projects,” explains Ernie Koh.
