Record-breaking Downtown Design

The 2018 edition expands its surface area by over 20%. What’s new? The Downtown Editions section that presents limited editions and bespoke design.

With over 175 brands exhibiting (including 40 regional designers), this year’s edition of Downtown Design achieved a new record, expanding by over 20%. This result comes in the wake of the rapid growth that the event has experienced in recent years. This year features a new section, Downtown Editions, which showcases limited edition and bespoke design products by independent firms, brands and designers from the Middle East and other countries.

The new area is an integral part of the exhibition space, which was designed this year by the H+A affirm around the theme of ‘Liveable Cities’ and includes a bespoke café concept, a pop-up retail destination, indoor landscape and outdoor installations on the waterfront terrace. International and regional design will be on show, as well as numerous Design Weeks (guests at the event along with their talents), including Amman, Beirut and Casablanca.
