IFDM, a ten-year story

IFDM is celebrating its tenth straight year in Moscow. Every year for the past decade, the magazine has helped companies and the general public discover the Russian market and how it has evolved over time

The first – entirely Russian – edition of event then known as Il Foglio del Mobile | iSaloni WorldWide Moscow took place at Crocus Expo 2 on 8 October 2008. In the ten years since, the Moscow iteration of the Salone del Mobile has represented a golden opportunity for our magazine to visit Russia and explore the progress of the market and its main players: companies and designers. As we celebrate this important milestone, those same companies and designers – who have been loyal supporters of ours since the very first edition – give their take on the huge changes this country has undergone over the past decade. Throughout the decade, IFDM has born witness to it all, experiencing graphic restyling, new content and features (such as the economy section, focus on product and projects section) and an increased circulation which now encompasses the local hospitality sector through the Room Service programme. Join us as we celebrate our first decade in Russia by looking back at the key events along the way.
