Ten years of Cestone

Flexform has contributed towards redefining the language of modern living, transforming the sofa from the supporting to the leading actor of furnishing

It’s already been ten years. Flexform‘s sofa Cestone made its début at the 2018 edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano. The iconic product played a fundamental role in transforming the sofa’s roel in furnishing, enabling it to discover new boundaries and expressions.

No longer confined to living room interiors, it now stands at the centre, where Cestone emerges as a veritable protagonist. The natural consequence has been a greater attention to the characteristics of the sofa’s back and sides, now in full view, made from metal frames covered in woven leather.
The Cestone sofa is available in thirteen colours including four suede options. The irregular weft weave can be made from leather strips of two different widths, resulting in either a compact surface or one through which upholstered parts are visible.

The spacious lounge of villa Tskneti is a splendid example of this proposal. The project by the Georgian company features the corner composition of the Cestone seating system, characterised by tobacco woven leather back and arm rests, all matched with eponymous side tables which confer a sense of completeness upon the interior.

100% Made in Italy leather plays a fundamental part in all Flexform creations, in virtue of its intrinsic quality: it remains impeccably elegant even as it ages. In addition to Cestone, the Italian brand has used the material for other flagship products, such as the sofa Este, the armchair Crono, the bench Helen and the Filicudi ottoman.
