The first edition of Design China Beijing

From September 20-23 Beijing welcomes its first design fair. For the occasion are expected 30 thousand visitors

It will be a memorable September for Beijing. From 20 to 23 September, the Chinese capital will host a design fair for the first time. The first edition of Design China Beijing aims to obtain the same acknowledgment as Design Shanghai, the largest international Asian event and an important date in the global design calendar. The fair, also organized by Media10 and located at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center, will be part of Beijing’s Design Week (September 20-25).

Mike Dynan, CEO of Media 10 China, says: “We are excited about the inaugural edition of Design China Beijing, thanks to it we will attract the world’s leading brands to Beijing.”

Design China Beijing will bring together more than 80 international and national design brands and works divided into three categories: contemporary design, classic design, and luxury design. Visitors will be able to admire the new furniture collections, lighting fixtures, fabrics, accessories, materials, and installations. Taking pride of place within the exhibition will also be young Chinese designers who will be given the opportunity to showcase their projects and works.

The organizers of the event expect more than 30 thousand visitors, including architects as well as press officers, professionals, and tourists. In addition to expanding its visibility around the world, China will use this opportunity to encourage exchanges and forge new partnerships between the North and the South of the country, sharing resources, building the design and innovation industry of the city.
