Ratio, Prime and Hi-Line 6 are the names of the three new kitchens by Dada. Two are completely new creations, while the third – Hi-Line 6 – is a reworked version featuring an aluminium frame around the cabinet doors.
Ratio represents the latest step in the tech advancement and innovation strategy driven by Vincent Van Duysen, the creative director at Dada, who designed the kitchen’s main elements drawing inspiration from the architecture of buildings. The kitchen’s structure itself becomes the star of the show, underpinned by materials that deliver Mediterranean warmth, such as the finest wood – Mooreiche oak and black palm – and natural stone like Silk Georgette marble and Rapolano travertine, while sophisticated metals like bronze and aluminium also feature. “The kitchen is centred around a base made up of two layers – the structural layer, which is composed of the supports, and the surface layer,” explains Van Dusyen. “The contrast between the vertical and horizontal lines gives a very graphic, architectural feel to the product, which is dominated by the layout of the vertical supports and the cabinet doors and surfaces behind.” This use of metal creates a sense of architectural order running through the bases, wall cabinets, columns, cooker hoods and accessories belonging to the Ratio line, while work tops and other elements of differing sizes complement the structural elements to create an elegant finished kitchen. In addition to the linear versions, Ratio is also offered as a corner kitchen or with a central island, while additional components such as a snack bar and special cleaning and cooking areas are also available.

There is a quite different feel to Prime (designed by Dada R&D), an open kitchen available in a number of different layouts to ensure it can satisfy even the most sophisticated aesthetic demands. There is an inlaid handle running all the way along the front sections and doors of the cabinets, with the upper part of this at a 45° angle to make the action of opening them simpler and more ergonomically friendly. Lightness is provided by the new glass doors – available in bronze and smoked finishes – of the wall cabinets and Flair columns, both of which are lit by LED lights concealed in the sides of the elements, while the new Wing system features aluminium shelving. There is something truly special about the linear version with peninsula, finished with a natural Billiemi stone top from Sicily. Completing the kitchen is the Prime snack bar, with aluminium structure and top made from the new dark walnut wood, paired here with Woody stools by Francesco Meda, who is the brains behind the whole Woody seating range for Molteni&C.
Hi-Line 6 Frame Door
Finally, Dada has offered up a fresh take on its Hi Line model – one of the brand’s best-sellers – in the shape of Hi-Line 6 Frame Door (designed by Dada R&D). This linear model reaches new heights thanks to the introduction of the new Frame Door, with frame in Titan aluminium and pewter. There is a wide selection of finishes to be chosen from for the doors, which are curved at the top for a more comfortable grip. In one particularly elegant solution suggested by Dada, the Hi-Line 6 Frame Door model pairs an island with the new Hi-Line 6 snack bar, with top in solid light and black oak.
