Welcome to the world of Clei project design which has been creating transformable systems for over 50 years, capable of changing configurations and functions within the home, thus maximising the value and size of available spaces. The company is increasingly focused on the development of complete effective liveability solutions, culminating in an entire “Transformable Home”, from living room to bedroom, office and kitchen-complete with integrated transformability projects, congenial to living contexts in new smart cities which must guarantee maximum comfort, down to the smallest of details, in increasingly smaller spaces. Within this context, Clei furnishings enable the multiplication of space, even the creation of a new, extra room. The company’s “real” living models perfectly embody this project design concept and have been presented at Salone del Mobile, Milan, along with its new product proposals.
The Two room residence may constitute a mini home, or inspiration for a new idea of hospitality, thanks to Ella&Louis systems which transform a sofa into a double bed, or two arm chairs into single beds. The perfect setting for the Ella&Louis system is a two-room apartment, matched with the mini transformable Kitchen Box, hide-away double bed and tilting table which slides under the bed frame in the night time configuration (Penelope 2).

The One room in the room is the biggest challenge in the field of transformability, with 3XL – the free extending living system, a veritable “habitat in movement”. The central motorized element reconfigures the interior, rendering boundaries between spaces more fluid and creating an array of configurations: relaxation and dining (by matching the modular sofa Oslo with a bookcase, tv area and integrated dining table), bedroom (with double bed, two single bunk beds and a container element), and office (with modular bookcase and maxi desk). These habitats respond to modern living requirements, while also alluding to the future, in virtue of a durable flexibility which lasts and adapts over time.
