HostMilano prepares for the next edition

From the Milano Coffee Festival to the World Pastry Stars: last May HostMilano took part in various industry events, offering an anticipation of trends and novelties that will find their maximum expression in the 2019 edition of the biennial

Unstoppable in its dynamic activity, while maintaining a biennial frequency, HostMilano continues to generate buzz about itself, keeping the attention high on issues dear to the event dedicated to the world of hospitality: equipment, coffee and food.
Though the next appointment with HostMilano is scheduled for October 18th, 2019, the event organized by Fiera Milano anticipates interesting news on the occasion of some industry events that animated the month of May.

Starting from the Milano Coffee Festival (19-22 May, BASE at Via Tortona), the first major event entirely dedicated to the celebration of coffee in all its forms, through educational initiatives, tasting and workshops.

HostMilano’s participation in the Festival is of the utmost importance thanks to its expertise and authority in the sector. Last October the event gathered over 600 companies as exhibitors at the International Coffee Fair (Sic), becoming the interpreter of the latest trends, among which the progressive hybridization of distinct formats: typical of the new millennium is the concept of transforming the bar into a new welcome point or an integrated meeting area in spaces that were once weren’t considered by the hospitality industry (bookshops, museums, theatres, points of sale, shops).

The theme of hybridization is also present in the world of pastry, as confirmed by the World Pastry Stars, an event organized by Italian Gourmet, under the patronage of Ampi – Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani – and Relais Desserts (21-22 May, Milan Marriott Hotel Milano), in partnership with HostMilano. Among the showcasing of new formats and live experiences with some of the world’s greatest pastry chefs, here emerged the blending of the sweet world with fashion, in the most varied fields: from the creations of refined patisserie to packaging, from the visual aspect of the store to communication, up to sales techniques, increasingly inspired by emotional marketing.
