Thirty years since its foundation, Edra is now in the perfect position to look back on its achievements with pride. The brand has also taken advantage of its new product releases for 2018 to celebrate its most important collaborations. On top of a ten-year partnership with Jacopo Foggini, Edra has been working with Francesco Binfaré for 25 years now, with the relationship immortalised in Christine Colin’s “Il viaggio di Francesco Binfaré”, published by Electa. And there have been 20 years of collaboration with Fernando and Humberto Campana, whose Vermelha armchair has been selected for the 11th edition of the “Storie. Il design italiano” exhibition a full two decades after its initial unveiling with Edra. The exhibition will remain open at the Triennale Design Museum until January 2019.

Among Edra’s new products this year is the new Stand by me bed, designed by Binfaré. Elegant and inviting, it features two “smart” cushions that can be individually modelled and form the headboard, adding extra comfort to the soft padding already covering the structure.

The Campana brothers are the brains behind the Sade lounge chair, which is covered in soft velvet with black leathers stripes over a metal structure, and the Blue Velvet armchair, whose ebony-coloured wooden frame is paired with a velvet seat pad and backrest. It’s the perfect piece for any space.

Meanwhile, Jacopo Foggini has designed the Egeo collection of tables in different shapes and finishes, featuring a glass top with rough edges reminiscent of the coastline of the Aegean Islands. Foggini is also the man behind the Cicladi line of alabaster side tables which – when viewed from above – resemble islands with their natural, unique outlines.
