Open-air luxury

The brand makes its début on the international scene, with six collections designed by Roberto Serio. Six outdoor proposals freely inspired by Hollywood beauty, bringing the most refined indoor design canons to outdoor areas

From indoor to outdoor, without any continuity solutions. Roberto Serio’s unmistakable style creates a new scenography on the outdoor furnishing scene, bringing the designer’s own concept of luxury, until now developed in the most sophisticated interior design projects, to the fresh and elegant open-air world.

Under his artistic direction, Philosophy Outdoor is the brand which has made its début at Salone del Mobile, Milan, with six exclusive collections. Meticulous attention to details, coupled with in-depth research into materials and finishings, are keynotes of all six new proposals, which feature forms freely inspired by female beauty. KatherineElisabethMarylinIngridGretaAudrey are all muses of Hollywood cinema which Roberto Serio pays tribute to, in a series of collections of subliminal beauty translated into furnishings.

Enveloping lines, reassuring comfort, the transparent elegance of even the smallest of details which are not accessories but functionally essential elements that confer personality and character upon products. For example: the belts which distinguish the Ingrid collection, or the more classical deep-button studded seats of the Greta collection, as well as the geometric patterns which frame Katherine. Materials astonish in virtue of their refinement and application in unusual contexts: the nobility of 316 steel is exalted by special finishings used in the automotive sector, with double protection gold plating. Technical fabrics allude to the fashion world, accompanied by buckles, studs, weaves and sartorial details.

Roberto Serio’s proposals embrace and interpret different contaminations, restoring not just luxurious forms of organic-rationalist inspired geometries, but also an overall concept of outdoor living.

Mr. Serio’s extensive expertise stems from collaborations with high-calibre companies including Visionarie, Turri, Riva, La Murrina, Villusso, Talenti. The brand’s Art Director explains: “Our aim is to have an almost non-existent border between interior and outdoor area design, to the point that these products can be easily used for interiors too. Luxury is a value which is still highly appreciated, especially on emerging markets. Therefore it is important not to simplify it, rather it should be enhanced using the right details”. This is the formula for a new, emergent and sophisticated Philosophy of Outdoors.
