Getting closer to Shanghai

Just one week at the opening of the three-day of Salone del Mobile.Mialno Shanghai. At the starting grid, a compact line-up of 109 companies

The second edition of Salone del Mobile.MilanoShanghai will be held from November 23 to 25 at Shanghai Exhibition Center. The display area considerably increased compare to last year: 109 Italian brands (+63%) will be showing their best designs.

“We have been working on several fronts to strengthen the positioning of the event. Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai is an international strategic appointment for the design industry, to strengthen our brand show – said the President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, Claudio Luti We want to reinforce the role of this event as a strategic showcase to bring our projects to a far-reaching audience, that cannot always be present at Salone del Mobile.Milano, and to be a commercial and cultural bridge between our two countries, Italy and China, creating a fruitful dialogue on issues of Made in Italy excellence and quality production”.

According to their styles and product „types, the participating brandswill be classified into 3 different categories: Design, Classic and xLux.

Master Classes and SaloneSatellite will also be held during the exhibition.The Master Classes, with its three-dayeducational program will function as a perfect interaction between the two cultures. The Italian and international renowned architects and designers Mario Bellini, PieroLissoni, and Giancarlo Tintoriwill be invited to discuss and share with prominent Chinese designers their thoughts and visions about the most cutting-edge topics in the fast-developing design industry in China and in the world.

SaloneSatellite, the show dedicated to designers under 35 years old, celebrated last April its 20thanniversary during SalonedelMobile.Milano. It aims to encourage the creativity of the new generations for which China gave, also this year, a strong signal to the design world as the 1st, 2nd prizes and special mention were won by Chinese young designers.
