A design for all seasons

The city of Dubai has become an important reference point for the international creative community. It is an ongoing stage for industry events, which embraces many different forms of design. Index 2017 is opening with the theme of Design for the Senses

March is dedicated to artistic design and to the collection products on show at Design Days Dubai; May is devoted to Index, which exhibits outstanding interior design with more classical, sophisticated collections. In September, the spotlight shifts to the contract and hospitality world, in line with the international exhibition program: Hotel Show Dubai becomes a stage for companies that view design in its strictest sense. The year ends with Downtown Design, where pure and experimental design is exhibited in D3 and throughout the city. Contemporary Dubai is an enormous, dynamic theater in which creativity is allowed to freely growly and develop in a meeting between cultures and traditions.

In keeping with this philosophy, a new chapter of Index Dubai is opening (22-25 May, Dubai World Trade Centre) with a focus on internationalization and different influences. This 27th edition, which is developed around the theme of Design for the Senses, aims to create an immersive design and luxury interior experience through new concepts and new products for the design community. From the exclusive In Conversation seminars with guests including Henty Holland and Bethan Gray, to the fascinating Design Talks led by Jo Hamilton; from the innovative INDEX Design Hub created in collaboration with trend-forecasting agency Scarlet Opus to the new VIP lounge by Harrods Interiors: the four days of Index open a season of creative and commercial activity in the city that stimulates the mind and senses.
