The annual Spring Market day, dedicated to the close relationship between art and design, is organized by, and in, the Decoration & Design Building on Third Avenue in Manhattan, which contains over 130 showrooms featuring American and European brands that are highly-specialized in fabrics, as well as in furniture and accessories, gathered together to welcome interior design professionals in a physical and concrete B2B site, one of the four locations managed by Cohen Design Center LLC in New York, West Hollywood, Houston and Dania Beach in Florida. During the New York ‘design month’, from 9.00-19.00 on Wednesday 24 May, the D&D Building is offering its guests the Art x Design cultural events program, a packed schedule of themed events that includes 3 Keynote, Break from Tradition: How Art of the 20th Century Shapes Design, Collect Like An Expert, The Art of Set Design: Creating Dramatic Interiors in Film, Theater and Television, and 14 In-Showroom. There are two special events: the interactive Who is the Monster installation by Hanna in Coco-Mat’s Media Lounge, and the exhibition in the pop-up gallery by Christopher Hyland. Naturally, there will be a number of cocktail parties, including those of Vondom, KnollTextiles, Holland & Sherry, Lladró, Flavor Paper, Scott Group | Hokanson and THG-Paris, which is officially inaugurating its showroom.
