EquipHotel 2016: the Parisian appointment with the international hotel industry

Alongside the customary impressive exhibition of catering equipment, the fair presents a wide, high-quality selection for the contract-furniture industry, with numerous designer thematic installations and a range of outstanding exhibitors

Sunday, 6 November, marked the opening of EquipHotel, the fair that summons the hotel and international contract industry to Paris every two years. Thanks to a press and publicity campaign that immediately made it clear that this edition would be different to previous editions, the fair has lived up to expectations with a dynamic, content-rich event at Paris Expo Porte Versailles that presents, finally, a comprehensive representation of the contract industry, with significant focus on furniture as well as catering.

Many companies have responded to the summons, especially first-rate companies that inevitably attract more attention and raise the profile of the fair: from Kettal to Tuuci, Ligne Roset and Bolon, to Unopiù’s absolute premiere (an exclusive interview can be found here), without forgetting the now legendary presence of Porada, a company that speaks the language of high-level contract, or of Indel B, which has important hotel industry references in its résumé.

Defining events such as INNOV/16 and STUDIO16 – as well as many other installations scattered through the pavilions that have enhanced the contract side of the fair – as side events is very reductive: IFDM has dedicated special attention to them and an article that you can read here.

Alongside the increasingly large number of companies that are exhibiting their products or demonstrating live the features of their equipment for professional kitchens, the role of catering is enhanced by the presence of the Studio des Chefs, a true arena with a large public, where contests, competitions and culinary awards, all with their respective prizes, take place throughout the day.

The usual, very well-organized Business Club and Top Buyers Club complete the professional offer of EquipHotel, a key event for the hotel and catering industry.

IFDM is the media partner for EquipHotel 2016 and is present at the VIP Lounge of Pavilion 7.3 with the Fall Winter edition of the Contract & Hospitality Book, a publication that can browsed here.
