New acquirement for Frau Group

Janus et Cie, specialized in outdoor furniture, has been acquired by Poltrona Frau Group and Haworth. With a turnover of approximately 100 million USD, the American company proceeds to large perspectives of growth

Poltrona Frau Group and Haworth has reached an agreement for the acquisition of the majority share of the American brand Janus et Cie, broadening its working range to outdoor furniture.

The brand – working through 16 directly owned showrooms and 40 sales offices – is founded in 1978 by Janice Feldman, who retains a significant equity stake in the company as well as the CEO role. In order to guaratee a strong operating indipendence, Paul Warren has been re-confirmed General Director of the company.

The Managing Director of Frau Group, Dario Rinero, affirms: «The value of this acquisition will therefore be reflected in the advantge that Janus et Cie’s products will benefit form Poltrona Frau Group and Haworth’s international sales and distribution platforms». Development is the common aim between Janus et Cie and the Group, especially directed to European and Asian markets. The agreement has been reached also because the Group has consistently demonstrated an historical commitment to privately owned, carefully grown businesses for many generations. The international relevance of Frau Group and Haworth ensures growing perspectives to the brand, already celebrated by the community of the sector.

The 6000 products of the catalogue Janus et Cie has been perfectly organized in the Haworth divison Lifestyle Design, next to creations by Cassina, Cappellini and Poltrona Frau.

The transaction closing is expected to take place within the next two months.
