The MICX – Mons International Congress Xperience –project marks the beginning of the collaboration between Daniel Libeskind and Poltrona Frau Contract. The new centre, which was opened during the inauguration of the city as the 2015 European Capital of Culture, is key to the revival of the city and is a meeting point between ancient and modern. Spread over 12,500 sq m, it is the harmonious expression of contrasting geometric shapes, culminating in the Tangram armchairs, also designed by Libeskind for Poltrona Frau, which furnish the three auditoriums with 500, 200 and 100 seats.
